River reports

There are goods numbers of fish throughout the Tyne system with the greater majority well coloured. Some very large salmon are showing with a few coming to the fly. The largest salmon reported this week was a 40 inch cock fish which was caught at Chesters.

The South Tyne water has fallen slowly; Haltwhistle is showing 0.456 mtrs on the gauge. The North Tyne at Reaverhill is at 0.764 and Bywell is 0.705 mtrs.

The amount of leaves in the river has been a bit of a nuisance hopefully with light winds forecast the fall will lessen.
