Fishing Locations

Much of the fishing to which Reeltime Fishing and Leisure has access is within the Northumberland National Park, close to Hadrian’s Wall and reaching into the AONB of the Northern Pennines.

The fishing locations offer a wide and varied angling experience, with the wild spate river of the South Tyne and the smaller unspoilt River Rede leading to the classic salmon beats of Chesters, Haughton and Barrasford.

The brown trout and grayling fishing is below Lintzford on the rapidly improving River Derwent with its excellent dry fly and nymph fishing. In addition there is the very private Haughton Castle lake where there are free rising rainbow trout and some challenging large old brown trout.
